Darlene (Ivadel) Anderson Williams, age 70, passed away June 30, 2015 of natural causes. She was born July 19, 1944 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Ivadel was raised in SLC by her parents, Elmer Carl and Wanda Luella Hillman Anderson (deceased). She married Rulon Scott Williams, February 20, 1964, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, on her parents' 25th Wedding Anniversary.
Ivadel was a pianist for many years in Jr. Sunday School, Primary, MIA, Sacrament Meeting and Relief Society. She had served as a Primary and Sunday School teacher and Chorister, Stake MIA Beehive Leader, Relief Society President and Secretary, Nursing Home Coordinator, Visiting Teacher, and had been a member and pianist in the Utah Daughters of Pioneers. She served with her husband as Young Married Leaders, Nursery Leaders, Oquirrh Stake and Oquirrh 7th Ward Family History Consultants. They were called to the Utah State Prison's Family History Center on a two-year LDS Service Mission, while her husband also served as a Jordan River Temple Worker. Her last calling was as a Visiting Teaching Supervisor.
Ivadel deeply loved her family. Her Rulon was a loving and patient husband, whom she called her, "Knight in Shimmering Armor." In later years she said, "Rusted Armor." She loved being with her daughters and found great joy in spending much time with her grandsons. She loved her Heavenly Father, Jesus, the Gospel and Scriptures, and had witnessed personal, spiritual miracles.
Ivadel graduated from South High School and completed courses at the LDS Business College. She had been a Clerk-Stenographer for Deseret Test Center, Ft Douglas, Utah. After raising her daughters, she was employed as a Teacher's Assistant at Washington Elementary School.
She loved her husband's beautiful singing voice, family's phone calls and visits, her collection of books, music, beautiful greeting cards and artworks. She loved the performing and visual arts, opera, playing the piano, doing needlepoint, traveling, England, architecture, literature, nature, people and animals.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the West Jordan Oquirrh Stake Center, 5208 West Cyclamen Way (6340 S.). Friends and family may visit Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary-Riverton Chapel, 3688 West 12600 South, Riverton, UT, and from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the Stake Center. Interment will take place in the Vernon City Cemetery.
