Murray, Utah-Ben De Vries, husband, father, grandfather passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014. 
Ben was born December 14, 1943 in Rotterdam, Holland to John and Grace De Vries. He immigrated with his family to Utah in 1950.
Ben was a lifelong member of the First Christian Reformed Church which his parents helped found in 1953. He greatly loved his daughters and enjoyed being involved in their school activities over the years. In the last number of years he enjoyed traveling to see his daughter's families in Iowa and Colorado.
Ben worked for the railroad for 40 years- Rio Grande, Southern Pacific, and Union Pacific.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis and two daughters Lisa (Matt) Vos of Iowa and Valerie (Dave) Hartemink of Colorado, brothers John of Arizona, Jerry (Carol) of Denver and sister-in-laws Grace and Carol of SLC.
He is preceded in death by his still born twins, Angela and Andrea, as well as his parents, brothers Jack and Mike, and sister-in-law Carol (John)
A Viewing will be held at Murray Memorial Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, UT. On Monday, March 24 from 7-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Tuesday, March 25, at First Christian Reformed Church, 803 East, 900 South, Salt Lake City.
Interment will follow the services at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan.
