I first met Susan over 60 years ago--way back when we were students at Irving Jr. High School.  Every time I saw her in the hallway or around the neighborhood she always cast that big smile of hers in my direction.  I can still see it. Thank you, Susan.  May you Rest in Peace.

Susan Fenn was the smallest giant I’ve ever known. I had the honor to call her my friend through jr. high and high school. She was a person of boundless energy, perpetual smiles, constant accomplishment, sunny disposition , deep spirituality , and compassionate humanity. Wherever she is now is a far better place for her being there, just as this was a far better place for her having been here. Rest In Peace, little giant.

Amen to Paul's comments.  Was there ever a friendlier, more cheerful, thoughtful, and loyal person than Susan?  She could light up a room like no one else.  Her smile was always sincere and began shining in her eyes, then extended to every tiny muscle in her lips and face the instant she saw you.  She brought a sense of joy along with a sense of slightly mischievous fun to every group activity or private encounter. Her passsing leaves the world palpably colder.  But at least our memories of Susan will always bring a little flash of that warmth she exuded back into our hearts.  Love you Susan.  Gary Shepherd

I believe, Susan, hands down would have been voted by her peers the quintiessential Cub......the friendliest, the bubbliest, and the most adorable.  Her tiny size added to the charm of how tall she stood as a giving, talented, fun leader who helped make all of our years at South "The Best!."  I always felt priveleged that we shared the same first name, that we were marching, cheering Southern Belles together, and then we went on to be Utah Utes! at the same time.  She will be missed.

Susan, from one Susan to another, we had the best name didn't we? and went to three of the best schools together, Irving, South, and the U of U.  I'm glad you are free from a body so racked with pain.  May you rest in peace.  I am very glad I knew you, and so proud of the legacy of giving and serving that you left.

Susan and I were in the Southern Belles together.  It's a good thing we had individually made uniforms because Susan was so tiny,  I don't think anything off a rack would have fit that elfin person.  She was an equal opportunity friend---kind to all and fun to be with.  I remember a picture of  her in the yearbook: a close up of a mischievious grin and her fingers curled up in front of her face; another indication of being part elf!  Caption under the picture, "Is this a sophomore?  Only she knows he real truth of her age and identity!"

When I read that a classmate has died it always makes me think about who we all were when we were together at South all those many years ago.  We were all poised to begin our lives in the world.  Sounds like Susan made the most of her years here on earth, continuing to spread her energy, spunky attitude and joy.

I know she will greatly missed and remembered by all those whose lives she touched.

All through Irving Jr and South High, Susan was the one I wanted to grow "up" to be like.     Elfin is a very apt term.     Such memories, especially her bubbly enjoyment  of Southern Belles.     Then my son married a Bunker and we had more to talk about.    Loved that woman and so grateful to have known her.
