Dianne Jensen VIEW PROFILE

Dianne Jensen passed away on December 27, 2017. She was born on March 23, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Daniel Harkness and Maxine Holmes Jensen. For the better part of her life she was raised in Salt Lake, but also lived in Whittier, California for a period of her youth. She graduated from South High School and began working as a switchboard operator at the phone company. She received many promotions, and retired after thirty years of service.
Upon retiring, Dianne spent years lovingly caring for others, including both of her parents. She also babysat for some of her grand-nieces and nephews, and happily spoiled them to the best of her abilities. She will always be known as "Aunt Dinny" to her nieces, nephews, and their children. She was a lover of all animals, especially dogs. She loved her dogs dearly, and called them "her kids." She loved to crochet, knit, and make jewelry. She loved camping in Southern Utah, going on fishing trips, and vacationing on the Oregon coast. In 2012, she was finally talked into getting on an airplane, and spent a wonderful week with family in Belize. Dianne was preceded in death by both parents and her brother Gary. She leaves behind a sister-in-law, Judy Jensen, a nephew, Steve (Lori) Jensen, two nieces, Michelle (Kyle) Schick, and Amy (Chad) Tourigny, as well as grand-nieces and nephews Annie, Rachel, Katie, Oliver, Quinn, Jackson, Dylan and Ashton, and her beloved Shih Tzu, Chloe. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 30, at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
