George was my best friend, and my dance partner for many years.  We stayed connected through-out our lives until he died the day before he turned 50.  George had been president of Wetminister College in SLC, and graduated with a BA in Psychology.  He moved to California shortly before I did and lived in the Bay Area.  I miss him and think of him often.

George died in 1994, and I have some great stories about him.. This is one I love to share We were in College; George at Westminister, and I was at the U of U, and also worked at Tracy Collins Bank.  My Dad had already died in 64, and the first time I spent the night at my then boyfriends apartment, and my mom panicked and sent him out looking for me.  George came to the apartment about 5 AM, and told us my mom had sent him out looking for me.. I was so sad she woke him up, but delighted he knew where I would be. When I got home, she greeted me at the screen door, and cracked up. She said "If you tell anyone I laughed, I will kill you." She had alerted the entire Greek extended family and my friends. It was so funny.

George was so amazing as a councilor. He had such success working with persons in crisis. Of course the system didn't want to pay him what they paid those with Phd's who never really worked with the clients. Here is a link to his obit.. http://www.deseretnews.com/article/354743/DEATH--GEORGE-NICK-LIGEROS.html?pg=all
