Merrily Jill Thedell (65) of Sandy, Utah passed away on Monday, August 24, 2009.She is survived by her loving husband David, daughter Jolie Bazler, her seven sons Darrin, Dustan, Devin, Duke, David, Dallon, and Dan, nine grandchildren, and her sister Dixie Lee Mahy. Merrily and Dave went to South High in Salt Lake City together and were both graduates of the class of 1962. It wasn't until almost eight years later that they met again, fell in love and were married.

Merrily was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Everett Ranck, her sister Wende Ranck, and precious little grandson Daegan Thedell.

She is survived by her loving husband David, daughter Jolie Bazler, her seven sons Darrin, Dustan, Devin, Duke, David, Dallon, and Dan, nine grandchildren, and her sister Dixie Lee Mahy. 


Merrily and Dave went to South High in Salt Lake City together and were both graduates of the Class of 1962. It wasn't until almost eight years later that they met again, fell in love and were married. They have enjoyed a devoted and loving marriage ever since. 


Merrily will be most remembered for her central place in the large family she and Dave created together. She was a hard-working and giving mother. She loved her children deeply and took great joy from time spent with her dear grandchildren. She loved big family gatherings most of all. Merrily was a member of the LDS Church.


Merrily was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Everett Ranck, her sister Wende Ranck, and precious little grandson Daegan Thedell.


Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lake Hills Memorial Chapel, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the services. 
Interment at Lake Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
