Lucile Monay, age 88, died July 15, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born October 24, 1904 in Pittsburg, Kansas to William and Anna Ruchaber Monay. Graduate of the University of Utah and was a charter member, vice- president, and president of Beta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi Social Sorority. An educator in the Salt Lake City school system for 41 years in the capacity of social science teacher, Dean of Girls, and high school counselor, she had been employed at South High School for thirty years. Member of National Education Association, Utah Deans & Counselors Association, and Utah Retired Teachers Association.Survived by sister, Hazel Craigen, Spokane, Wash.; sister-in-law, Norma Monay, Bountiful, Utah; two nieces, Michelle Staker, Salt Lake City; and Laura May Parshall, Port Orchard, Washington. Recently preceded in death by a brother, Col. William H. Monay.

Graveside services on Tuesday, July 20, 11 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, under the direction of Larkin Mortuary.
